How to start preparing for CSS?

Clearing CSS is like a dream for almost all the fresh graduates in Pakistan. Everyone wants to pass this exam and grab a seat in a department where he can make his life worthwhile. Some people do it for personal glory while others want to do something for their country; either way its not everyone's cup of tea. Most candidates fail as only a few make it through. Why do so many of our candidates fail is the real question, which this article will try to answer.

Why so many candidates fail CSS?

More than 50% of candidates just apply for CSS and do not put any effort into preparing themselves. That is one reason why so many fail. According to a careful figure only 15-20% of the candidates study seriously enough for these exams. The rest have problems like lack of confidence, friends who discourage them, other jobs to take care of, family matters etc. But yet another question arises that why only 2% of the candidates pass if the percentage of those serious is around 20%; well this is where the secret lies, which we will try to uncover in the lines to come.

CSS wants you to be very good at English. Most of the students fail the Essay and or precis & composition papers; there is a fairly good reason for that, our educational system do not offer us much opportunities to develop creative writing skills. Most of the candidates do not have what it takes to pass these papers. So what a candidate should do to develop these skills; well it's not done overnight, one must work hard to get there. 

If you are a candidate and interested in getting the skills necessary for writing quality English you must take classes to learn the very basic English first. When you are good at the basics then you must read more and more English i.e articles and books etc. One must write English essays on different topics and get the help of someone to check them for errors and give you guidance.

In conclusion, this is a very long discussion about which I will keep on posting but it is crystal clear that to quality CSS learning English is 'the' must step.
